Arcosanti is an experimental city and working laboratory envisioned by Architect Paolo Soleri. Arcosanti serves as a prototype for urban planning and city building focussing on the highest use of land and resources. Similar to an Italian hill town huddled close into hillside of a dried Arizona river bed, Arcosanti plans to grow miles into the sky and serves as an alternative answer to disasterous suburban development land uses. Working along side Paolo Soleri in 1990 members of M.Arch Architects assited in the design and construction of hillside green houses as well as 3 dimensional computer models of Arcosanti 2000, the Bering Strait Bridge, and Sun Arcologies.
